Finally! We've come to the comparison of all my 'naked' or 'nude' palettes. But first let's see some swatch recaps to remind you of what we've got here.

Hold onto your hats ladies! You've probably been wondering if there are a lot of dupes between these 5 palettes. As you'll see in a moment, there are quite a few similarities, but few exact dupes.

Photobucket
Frosty Whites. NYX's frosty white and The Balm Sassy are pretty much dupes, but Sassy has a better texture and pigmentation.

Photobucket
Off Whites. The off whites from both the NYX Butt Naked Eyes palette and the Sleek Au Naturel palette are dupes. Very similar in pigmentation, color and texture.

Photobucket
Shimmery highlights. Bootycall and Virgin are very similar, but Bootycall is more peach while Virgin is much more beige. They look like dupes in the swatch, but they aren't. Just very similar. I doubt anyone would be able to tell the difference on the eye, though.

Photobucket
Cream colors. Of the three Foxy and the Sleek cream color are the most similar. The Sleek is a bit darker. The NYX cream color is much lighter and has less pigmentation.

Photobucket
Shimmery pinks. These aren't as close as I thought they'd be. The Sleek shimmery pink and The Balm's Standoffish are they closest; they're both peachy in tone. Sin is much more pinky.

Photobucket
Glittery browns. Sidecar and YDK are pretty much the same color. YDK doesn't have the chunky glittery fallout problem that Sidecar has. YDK also has a better texture.

Photobucket
Soft matte browns. None of these are dupes of the other, but they're all varying shades of the same color. Great 'best friend' colors to use in your crease.

Photobucket
Shimmery golden browns. I thought these colors would be much closer than they are. Of the three, Darkhorse and Sophisticated are the closest; Darkhorse has a more satiny texture while Sophisticated is more of a scattered glitteryness. Snakebite is lighter than either and more golden.

Photobucket
Plummy browns. These are very similar, Busted is just a smidge darker than Hustle. Again, you probably couldn't tell the difference on the eye.

Photobucket
Blacks. A black is a black is a black. Or is it? Much to my surprise, the darkest and most opaque black of these four was from the Sleek Au Naturel palette. The NYX black is a softer, less pigmented black. Blackout and Serious are quite similar except Serious has this sheen that isn't present in Blackout.

Whew! Now, do you need all of these palettes? Honestly, unless you're a makeup collector like me, probably not! I can recommend these palettes to you based on what you're looking for in a 'nude' palette, which brings me to my:

NEKKID AWARDS!

The Travel & Budget Friendly Award goes to: NYX's Butt Naked Eyes palette! This palette has such a nice variety for your entire face, and come at a nice price point! Don't be afraid to take this one on trips with you.

The Most Unusual Award goes to: Sleek's Au Naturel palette! Looking for something completely different in your 'nude' palette? This is the one for you!

The Cutest Packaging Award goes to: The Balm's Nude 'Tude palette! This palette is so cute, you'll just love using it!

  4. I really have to stay away from nude palettes but you're making that difficult. I really should be happy with Naked 1 and 2 from Urban Decay. But that Sleek palette...

  6. Your swatch photos are just amazing, this must take a lot of time to put together!! I agree, the Sleek Au Naturel palette isn't really.....au naturel. There are a few nice nude shades and then A BUNCH OF DARK, VAMPY METALLIC ONES. Interesting combination, but they are nice colours!
