Hi all. Sorry I've been kinda MIA lately. Just preoccupied with other stuff. Believe it or not, makeup isn't actually the most important thing in my life all the time, LOL!
(Don't forget to enter my giveaway to win WnW Night Elf if you don't already have this palette!)
So today I have a review of some of my all time favorite blushes ever. NYC Blushable Creme Sticks. These are so good I can't believe they're drugstore and I can't believe how cheap they are.
First I bought Big Apple Blush. I totally missed out on the NYC limited edition collection that had some other colors of these, so I went on eBay and bought the 2 I wanted for like 3 times their retail price. Yes, I am crazy. But I just love these so much!!! I think they were worth every penny, even at the inflated price.
The thing I love about these is that they are so pigmented and they swipe on so well after foundation. I've tried another drugstore blush stick, the Hard Candy dual ended ones. They were so hard and you practically had to dig them into your cheeks to get any color on, and it messed up my foundation every time. The NYC sticks don't do that. They just swipe right on. I've even put them on over face powder with no ill effects.
Peep the swatch!
Holy pigmentation! Can you believe it?? They're almost scary. Seriously, the first time I used one of these, I felt fear. I was thinking 'OMG I'm so going to look like a clown.' But no! They blend out so beautifully. I've used my fingers and a regular blush brush to blend them, and both methods work just fine.
See? So natural and pretty looking. The other two, even though they're brighter colors, blend out to a similar finish, they're just more matte while Big Apple Blush has shimmer to it. Also, the staying power is excellent. These sticks don't fade away throughout the day, they 'stick' around, pun intended, haha!
I love these and I highly recommend them. They are among my most treasured items in my blush stash.
I should show you my blush stash sometime! I've been on a blush kick lately. My blush stash is pretty small, but I've got a fairly wide spectrum of colors, I think, and I love my little stash.
Hope you've all had a great weekend!
